Treatment for Panic Attacks

A panic attack is one of the worst feelings, and it’s a horrible experience. When someone is suffering from a panic attack, it can be quite worrying. Therefore, negotiating the anxiety and attacks in this phase needs a very positive and calm approach. This is especially true for highly sensitive individuals. Panic attack causes include many psychological issues that have been established earlier in life, while others may be sudden fears or phobias that occur due to certain situations.

Symptoms

Panic attacks are scary, and they usually happen after having a stressful event in our life. A panic attack is a sudden onset of intense fear or discomfort that reaches a peak within minutes and includes at least four of the following symptoms:

  • Shortness of breath

  •  Sweating

  • Trembling or shaking

  •  Feeling of choking 

  • Chest pain

  • Nausea or abdominal distress

  • Feeling dizzy

  • Light-headed or faint

  • Tingling sensations (paresthesia)

  • Chills or hot flashes.
